Deutsche Familienversicherung has been a partner of Eintracht Frankfurt AG since 2010. Strong identification and shared passion are what connect us to with the team, its members, and the fan community. In our role as the official insurance partner to Eintracht Frankfurt e.V., we serve as the expert point of contact for all team members when it comes to personal insurance coverage.
Starting with the 2011/2012 season, we are also involved with Eintracht Frankfurt e.V. in a different way. We believe it is very important to support not just professional soccer, but also youth and community sports across the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main area. By working with Eintracht Frankfurt, we have a cooperation partner that focuses not just on the sports aspect, but also especially on giving back to the community.
We also share a high level of affinity for digital technologies. Together, we are working to further expand digital activity in Frankfurt and help local companies connect on digital matters.
As an insurtech company, Deutsche Familienversicherung knows that digital skills are becoming more and more important to society at large. Mastery of a programming language is now so important that you might think of it as a second foreign language. That’s why we help youth and schools to get ready for the digital future as early as possible. We provide Raspberry Pi single-board computers to schools in Frankfurt to give students a chance to develop a feel for technology and programming from an early age. The goal is to get the IT talent of tomorrow excited about digital learning.
Programming skills and access to IT-related topics are crucial to Frankfurt as a hub of education and economic activity. To make sure this important topic is being taught in German schools and prepare kids for a digital future, Deutsche Familienversicherung has launched an initiative called “Digitization Goes to School” (“Digitalisierung macht Schule”). The goal: to equip schools throughout Germany with Raspberry Pi computers. For more information on the initiative, click here.
Deutsche Familienversicherung officially became the junior partner to Basketball Bundesliga club FRAPORT SKYLINERS in February 2017. As the only independent insurance company in Germany, partnering with the owner-operated Skyliners is something that is dear to our hearts. We are proud that our partnership supports not only a thrilling sport, but also helps specifically with the team’s youth outreach work in the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main metropolitan area.
In addition to our work as the club’s junior partner, we also support their “Basketball Goes to School” (“Basketball macht Schule”) initiative. About 3,500 kids come together to play basketball across around 140 school clubs every week. The initiative opens up new perspectives for youth by focusing on three key topics: exercise, nutrition, and integration. The project has a lasting impact in terms of promoting participants’ health, making physical activity fun, and cultivating integrative teamwork skills. We have elected to sponsor 14 of these basketball clubs so kids can participate free of charge at school.
Supporting cultural institutions in and around Frankfurt is another important part of our activities to give back to society at Deutsche Familienversicherung. Starting this year, we are a supporting member of Städelscher Museums-Verein e.V., a role in which we help to maintain and cultivate the Frankfurt museum scene.
Deutsche Familienversicherung and its partner, Deutsche Bildung AG, are united in their belief that all people should be given equal access to education. That is the only way they will be able to put their talents and resources to optimum use. Youth outreach is a crucial element of our efforts to give back to society. After all, we know our success depends on our people. To shape the future and be able to further develop Frankfurt as a hub of economic activity, we need the best and brightest skilled workers and managers.
